Birthday!

Hey guys!

It's my birthday today! I've turned 20 :) Tonight I will go out to dinner (pancakes!) with friends and this friday I'm throwing a party at my parents' house.
I've been really busy (and still am) with school assignments and stuff, so my blog won't be updated as often as usual. When the schoolyear is over, I will blog a lot more again!

Have a nice day!

Hey chipiron, todos los dias sale el sol!

Heyyy guys,

My birthday is in exactly a week! I will be turning 20. That exact same day, I've got this big important presentation for my globalisation-class. Friday next week I will actually celebrate my birthday, but the same weekend I'll have to study for my re-sit for the same globalisation-class. And the weekend after that I have to study for my exam for anthropology. But THEN, I'm free and happy and cheerful and stressfree and the sun will be shining until eternity. Or at least until the beginning of the next year of school. ;)
I've been thinking about changing my blog for a looong time now and I think I will finally do it after all the exams. I will update my layout, header, everything! Even the posts will be different. But for now I'll keep it this way, to keep it a lil' easy in stressful times ;)

Btw. I love this song. It has awakened my love for the Spanish language again. And Spanish music. And Spain. So I will go to Spain this summer no matter what.

Love,

I've been here so long, I think that it's time to move; let's pack our bags and settle down where palm trees grow

Hey guys!

Do you also have this thing with a song or a line or whatever that keeps on following you for years? It's not like a favorite song, you don't listen to it over and over again until you get sick of it. You might just hear it once or twice a year and when you do, you drop everything you're doing and listen.
I have this with several songs. Not because they're that exceptionally good or whatever (okat some are), but because I gave some sort of meaning to them. One of them is (my god, don't laugh at me!) 'dancing in the moonlight' by Toploader.  When I was 14 or so I decided that when a boy/man would EVER in my live come to me and say this is his favorite song, I would marry him. For real. I'm not even kidding!
Another one was 'heartbeat' by Annie. I don't even know what it was about anymore, but when I hear it something happens I can't explain. The last song I'm gonna tell you about is 'swing life away' by Rise Against. It has actually been a favorite song of mine a long time ago, but last year when I was in America (and felt extremely happy and good) I listened to this song again and it was like I could've been the one writing the lyrics. Now it reminds me of the awesome time I had there.

Anyways, the outfit I'm wearing here includes the assymetrical skirt from ebay! :) And a belt I had from a friend when I was 13. Friggin' 7 years ago. Time flies.

Anyone who has never made a mistake, has never tried anything new

Hellooooo,

I thought I should do a post about my new stuff again. Haven't done that in a while, so hey. Not that I haven't bought anything in the meantime, though...

The earrings above I bought at six. I was looking for a new pair of black feather earrings (you might have noticed I have a slight feather earrings obsession... it's true) since my last pair was ruined after the feathers got wet somehow. I really like these! The blue feather makes it a little less boring, because come on.. just black feathers is kind of monotonous ;)

And then these two beautiful skirts! I got them at ebay. I know they don't look that pretty in the pictures, but that's just my lack of photographyskills and the fact that the skirts are creased. Or my lack of ironingskills. (just kidding, I didn't even try to iron them yet)

Anyways, in the next picture you can see how the skirt really looks and, as a bonus, how messy my room is! Yes, I hang my towels over my chairs. To let them dry.
:)

And then, last but not least, my new dress! It has a bright coral-pinkish color, the photo is a bit off. I got this dress at New Yorker. The front:

And the back (I like this the most)

Detail of the back:

That's it for today. Next post I will show you guys an outfit with the red assymetrical skirt! :)

An arrow can only be shot by pulling it backward. So when life is dragging you back with difficulties, it means its going to launch you into something great.

Hey guys,

There's so much going on right now. It's a busy time at school ( writing a paper, reading an article and summarize it, reading two books, preparing for re-sit, reading six articles, doing an interview, preparing for exam, preparing for presentation. All of this within 3 weeks), but the worst thing is my friend is in the hospital and it's pretty serious. Today I heard he's doing better (he can breath on his own again!), so I'm a bit relieved. :)

I'm just hoping the titel of this blogpost is true. For me it would mean AMAZING shit is going to happen.

thousands of candles can be lit from a single candle and the life of the candle will not be shortened: happiness never decreases from being shared

Hey guys!
I changed my plans. For almost a year I've been busy planning my trip to America next year (to study there for half a year), but I found out it's really not gonna work with my study-schedule :( so I decided to move the whole thing two years further, when I have time for it. It also gives me more time to get all the money (10000 dollars!). BUT: I already saved some money, which means I can go on vacation this summer (and I don't have to work the whole summer too!), so I think I'll go to Barcelona or Valencia :D I reaaally can't wait!

Anyways, in this post you can see my shortened hair. I'm starting to get used to it already :)

I'm sorry for the lack of smiles/happiness in these pictures. I was soooo tired when these were taken!
I've got to work on a paper now. Enjoy your day (more than I do)!

Love,

Loes
